Position:Delivery AssistantLocation:Brooklyn, NYJob Id:317# of Openings:5Delivery assistant/warehouse associateSummary:Otto is hiring for a Delivery Assistant at the Brooklyn, NY location.Employee will be a hybrid between assisting the Delivery drivers as well as warehouse associate. Employee will need to be able to assists delivery drivers or assist in the warehouse operations side.Key Responsibilities:Assist Delivery Driver on making deliveries.Occasionally Operate 16' Box Truck to make on time deliveriesOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.Occasionally assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping/receiving documentation.Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to always ensure a safe work environment.Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiencies.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentSome experience driving Box truck on NYC streets.Proven experience with GPS and Delivery SoftwareUnderstanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery in a controlled, precise manner.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to support Delivery demands.Ability to work 6 days a week and 10-hour daysMust get medical Card from Doctor (DOT requirement)OTTO ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMSThe Company offers competitive pay commensurate with experience and rewards high performance.
