The Delivery Assistant is a physical, fast-paced position providing direct support to a McLane Delivery Driver. As a Delivery Assistant, you will not be driving the delivery truck. You will be bending, lifting, and walking on a daily basis. Similar to our Delivery Drivers, you also represent the face of our company to our customers. So, here's the details:5201 NW, 108th Avenue, Sunrise, Florida, 33351* Pay rate: $19.50 per hour.* 3rd shift/Overnight schedule. 9pm -10 pm starting time. 10 - 12 hour shifts.* The ability to be flexible with your schedule is preferred.* Generous benefits available on your 60th day: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance.* 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.* Paid holidays, vacation time, educational assistance program, and more!Your schedule depends on the route your assigned Delivery Driver runs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.* Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.* Assist the Driver's efforts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.* Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:* At least 18 years of age.* Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.* Work Overnight and have flexibility with schedule.Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
