Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with strong communication, problem-solving and logistical analysis skills to join our team as a Delivery Dispatcher. ABOUT THE POSITION

Delivery Dispatchers function as part of the Delivery Team and are responsible for coordinating delivery and pick-ups for requested loads of various types of material handling and construction equipment in the safest most efficient manner.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate efficient pickup and delivery of equipment using routing software and considering factors such as traffic conditions, load size, and priority.
  • Communicate effectively with all involved parties, such as drivers, sales reps, and customers, and collaborate to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, routes, driver logs, and delivery confirmations to evaluate efficiency and identify areas of improvement.
  • Assist in managing Delivery Department Assets through communication of equipment issues, customer site problems, repair needs, equipment swaps, and safety issues.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of dispatching experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 21 years of age with safe driving record

SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:

  • 1 year of experience in rental equipment industry preferred
  • Ability to organize and manage time
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE: Logistics Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, Fleet Operations, Freight Dispatcher

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

This position spends most of the time in an indoor office environment with a controlled climate and occasionally will work in a warehouse environment with exposure to heat and cold.

This position requires sitting at a computer desk for long periods of time with constant use of a computer keyboard while reading the computer screen.

This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication. And will occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

This position will continuously use hands to type.

Position requires driving vehicle to and from company and customer locations.
