Delivery Driver I - Lufkin Industries : Job Details

Delivers parts and supplies to our customers and or picks up supplies and goods from other suppliers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers and suppliers. Performs duties necessary to meet customer and supplier requirements by loading, unloading and driving company truck to/from various locations.Responsibilities* Deliver parts and supplies to customers or pick up supplies and goods from other suppliers.* Load and unload trucks.* Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.* Perform routine maintenance on truck.* Maintain clean appearance of truck.* Other duties as assignedEssential Characteristics* Results and success-oriented mentality, conveying a sense of urgency and driving initiatives to close.* Creative, strategic thinker with excellent organizational abilities.* Detail oriented.* Personable, an ability to initiate and build relationships with people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner.* Passionate about the maintaining employee health and safety.* Commitment to developing a strong relationship with all company personnel.Requirements* Education and Training: High School education or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management* Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.* Experience: At least 6 months experience, or as deemed sufficient by management; Basic knowledge of oil company leases and delivery area.* License: Must have current and valid drivers license with and 3 years of driving experience.DisclaimerThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
