Delivery DriverDepartment: DistributionReports To: Distribution ManagerStatus: Non-ExemptDescription: Delivers and picks up merchandise to multiple customers on a daily basis by safely operating a delivery truck and handling our merchandise.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates a delivery truck to ensure safe delivery of merchandise and parts to a variety of customers on a daily basis.*Loads and unloads merchandise and automobile parts onto truck, responsible for proper securing during transit and ensures all items are handled properly and delivered undamaged.*Inspects all merchandise and ensures it matches with the delivery ticket description including correct side, STK#'s, and options; demonstrates an understanding of the Hollander parts numbering system.*Demonstrates a complete understanding of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) damage codes as it relates to inspecting merchandise and maintaining quality control.*Inspects delivery vehicle in accordance with the Pre-trip Checklist and reports any discrepancies to management.*Provides excellent customer service by serving as the face of the company to customers; hands out marketing material to each customer highlighting the services the company offers that they may be interested in.*Tags or labels all merchandise for return, purchase or repair as to their origin with a reason for return or service needed with proper paperwork attached.*Completes all necessary paperwork as outlined in the operating procedures for the position.*Follows all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment without causing damage or harm to people, property or equipment.*Utilizes handheld tablet for parts deliveries and turn-by-turn directions while following DMV laws.*May be required to operate certain types of forklifts or heavy machinery with appropriate license.*Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry. For insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or older.Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license. Forklift certification.
