REPORTS TO: FLEET COMMANDER
  • Bottle Logic Brewing is hiring two full-time Delivery Drivers to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will already have a Class B Commercial Driver's License, but we'll train an otherwise exemplary candidate to pilot our fleet of vehicles throughout Southern California, delivering fresh beer to our network of wholesale customers. The position is not limited to deliveries; we maintain and troubleshoot beer dispensing systems at our on-premise accounts, utilize the fleet as pouring stations at festivals, and pursue overnight endeavors to Northern California and Arizona to retrieve cooperage and represent the brand at out-of-town events.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
  • Loading of company-provided vehicles including but not limited to cargo vans, pickup trucks, and commercial straight box trucks
    • Daily inspection of commercial vehicles as required by DOT
  • Safely operate company delivery vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Build, wrap, and label pallets for freight shipping; prep and label cases of product for parcel shipment through third-party logistics companies (FedEx, GLS, and other third-party shippers)
  • Use of manual and powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, walkie (straddle) stackers, and any other equipment deemed necessary to complete daily tasks
  • Knowledge of draft beer systems including but not limited to long-draw, short-draw, jockey box, and vehicle-mounted systems
  • Accurately keep records of the following: invoices, cash/checks/money orders collected, keg deposits/returns, vehicle inventories
  • Project a world-class image for the brewery and the products you deliver
  • Report all of the above to our Fleet Commander and General Manager
  • Any other duties delegated to by a manager
  • Performing all functions according to Bottle Logic procedures and policies
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:
  • 25+ Years of age
  • The ideal candidate would possess a Class B (or higher) commercial driver license (but we'll train an otherwise exemplary candidate!)
    • Air-brake endorsement
  • Valid DOT medical card - (may be obtained after accepting position)
  • Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test as well as random drug tests per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
    • This includes enrollment into the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse prior to operating a company-provided commercial vehicle
  • 1-2 years of experience driving large, straight/bobtail type vehicles
    • Delivery experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Clean driving record, both in personal and prior company vehicles
    • Absolutely no DUI convictions on driving record
  • Must be able to load, lift, unload, cases (approximately 30 pounds each) & kegs (up to 165 pounds each) and maneuver a hand truck (up to 400 pounds) at the brewery and in the field
    • Have the ability to twist, turn, crouch, climb, squat, and/or stoop repeatedly throughout the day
  • Industry-leading customer service skills both at accounts and during events/festivals
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision both at the brewery and while in the field
  • Ability to lift 165 pounds up to 3 feet as well as maneuver 400 pounds with a hand truck
  • Excellent communication, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and requirements
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with respect to all Bottle Logic's personnel at all levels, in addition to customers and suppliers
  • Comfort using a computer and Android tablet
  • Basic math skills to adjust invoices in the field
  • Knowledge of beer dispensing systems
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask effectively

  • The annual base pay range for this position is between $35,000 and $47,000, depending on skills and experience.
