Delivery Room Technician - Archbold Grady Experience:#Previous experience as a patient care technician#or secretary in a medical setting preferred. Required Skills: Must possess the ability to learn basic computer skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace as essential functions. Honesty and maintaining a professional composure are important aspects of the job. be familiar with all facets of basic patient care functions and care. Must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Must demonstrate basic computer skills. Must be able to interview and register patients via computer. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of sterile technique. Physical Demands: Good physical and mental health. Must be able to lift, bend, pull and push using good body mechanics. Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material; hearing ability with auditory aids to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker; and speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. Performance Standards: Organization Wide: Maintains a professional image. Makes a conscientious effort to help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment. Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements.
