We're always looking for passionate and creative people to help us in this mission**Job Description**POSITION SUMMARYDrive a tractor-trailer combination with a capacity of 80,000 GVW, to transport and deliver both hazardous and non-hazardous liquid chemicals in packaged form (i.e. IBC containers, drums) to deliver to Veolia customer tanks via pumps and a hose. Requires a class A commercial drivers' license with a Hazardous Materials endorsement and a TWIC card.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.Complies with all applicable state and federal DOT regulations, company guidelines andappropriate safety procedures when transporting hazardous materials.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles or property to the appropriate persons.Responsible for scheduling both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair.Conducts company business in a professional manner while working with the inventory planner,\ customers, and sales reps.Dresses in a professional manner using the provided uniforms while doing company business.Secures all cargo properly with the provided equipment.Trained and able to operate a fork truck to load and unload at the Veolia plant or Warehouse.Understand that you may be away from home for up to 4 nights in each weekThis list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for theoperation of the business**Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma/GEDMinimum of 3 years of experience with class A combination equipmentClass A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker EndorsementsExcellent driving and safety recordTWIC cardELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSAbility and willingness to travel up to 95% of the time, as requiredAbility and willingness to travel overnights, as requiredAbility and willingness to work a weekend, if requiredAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid TWIC cardAbility and willingness to wear a respirator, as required or neededAbility and willingness to dress professionallyAbility and willingness to keep up to date with online based trainingDESIRED CHARACTRERISTICSAssociate degree (2-year college or technical schoolValid US passportHigh functioning, problem solving capabilitiesExcellent people skillsCustomer service orientedAttention to detailStrong computer skillsTeam player, self-starter, independent thinkerForklift certification**Additional Information*****VWTS offers excellent company benefits, a competitive hourly wage and a weekly schedule with the ability to be home on the weekends most of the time.
