The Demand and Materials Manager is responsible for leading activities related to the business unit demand, production and material planning, project coordination and estimating, and inventory control, within Solar Turbines Construction Services business. As a leader, you will have significant authority in Strategic Planning, work cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional process excellence through continuous improvement. The Demand and Materials manager is a proven leader inspiring teams to deliver best-in-class results. Accountable for a broad organization leading a multi-discipline work group. Lead Planning strategy & vision and drive execution to enable business value and productivity. Ensure the S&OP processes are aligned to maximize capacity, reduce costs & inventory, and achieve best-in-class performance for our customers. Continuously improve processes to drive better business results. Build a world-class workforce that creates a competitive advantage by hiring the right people, developing, coaching, and retaining top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead the team to deliver annual work agenda results.

+ Develop the capability of your team.

+ Lead facility annual capacity analysis to determine capex investments and actions needed to support customer commitments.

+ Monitor demand, supply, and material requirement plans.

+ Represent the business unit in the S&OP process.

+ Develop and optimize material, production, and project planning processes.

+ Coordinate and partner with local global supply chain resources to develop annual forecasting and sourcing strategy.

+ Lead project coordination team to ensure project work is delivered on time, on budget, and with world-class quality.

+ Supports business development team with timely and accurate project cost estimates.

+ Ensure inventory accuracy and value targets and reduction of aged inventory.

+ Streamline work through continuous improvement.

Required Skills

+ Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college

+ At least 5+ additional years of Production, Materials, or Supply Chain experience

+ Proven track record of effective leadership, team building, and continuous improvement.

+ Familiarity with materials management disciplines including production and inventory control.

+ Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve them appropriately.
