It's rewarding work, with an inspiring team, where every contribution matters.Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Demand & Order Analyst Advanced Manufacturing Technician IV position located in the Booneville, MS facility. This will be a developmental role shadowing the Assembly scheduler to include but not limited to the following: Production scheduling, SSP monitoring, schedule collaborations, monitoring shortages, and past due reduction.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitor and report on inventory turns, material availability.
  • Interface with external suppliers, engineering, quality, and the operations teams to resolve material issues as they arise.
  • Use proactive tools such as Lean DNA and MFG Pro or other MRP systems to minimize material shortages across Mississippi.
  • Utilize LMS to determine inventory levels when making decision to expedite and de-expedite material.
  • Work action messages weekly which are downloaded to Excel and suggest actions that the LPA needs to take with schedules
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to procure material in a timely manner.
  • Approve the sale of material to other CAT facilities and manage the transportation to its destination.
  • Report on any material shortages in a daily materials meeting with Supply Chain management.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 months manufacturing experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Material procurement experience to include some or all of the following components:
    • Planning analyst experience
    • Parts procurement experience
    • Inventory management experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • College or University degree
  • APICS, CPIM or CSPC National Certification
  • Experience with an MRP system (Material Requirements Planning) - schedules are input and populates supplier schedules or production scheduling (Highly desired)
  • Understanding of Bill of Material and the change management process
  • Experience with MFG Pro
  • Knowledge of Location Management System (LMS) and High Velocity Caterpillar (HVC).
