Demand Planner - Prequel Solutions : Job Details

Prequel is seeking candidates for a full time Demand Planner role with a reputable manufacturer in the Cary, IL area. This role works onsite and includes a competitive salary and full suite of health/retirement benefits. Company is seeking candidates with 5+ years of hands-on Demand Planning experience in a Manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage production schedules for assigned areas.
• Schedule and monitor Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
• Coordinate material scheduling, ERP system updates, and document management.
• Identify and address risks in the production plan, including lead times.
• Communicate with customer service and suppliers to resolve potential issues affecting shipping schedules.
• Own and optimize the Kanban process, including adjusting sizes based on forecasted demand.
• Ensure materials, labor, and scrap are accounted for at MO completion.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of demand planning or production scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Experience in high-demand industries such as automotive or semiconductors is preferred.
• ERP Proficiency: Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
• Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with Kanban, RCCM, and other Lean manufacturing methods.
• Education: Bachelors degree in production, operations, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
