Great opportunity for new Dental Assistant looking to make a difference at the community level, and work with a dental team to provide preventive dental care to a multicultural patient population. We believe in the practice of evidenced based dentistry. We stay current with the latest scientific American Dental Association approved dentistry recommendation. The dental assistant is a vital part of the Patient Centered Health Home model. Along with the dental team, he or she will provide preventive dental care and is crossed trained through the various departments to offer optimal service to our patient population.
Dental Assistant is a full-time position responsible for assisting the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the center Dental Assistants play a vital role in a dental procedure and in the dental practice. Dental assistants work to assist the patient and doctor in various ways that allow for the procedure and practice to flow seamlessly. Dental Assistants tasks include seating the patient, verifying the patient's identity, obtaining vitals, preparing the chair for the procedure including obtaining x rays prescribed by the provider, first assisting the provider during the procedure and cleaning up (sterilizing). As well as, preparing patients for oral examination, assisting in providing treatment, all aspects of chair-side assisting, documenting in the Electric Health Records System (EHR), assisting Hygienist, and other duties assigned.In addition to those functions additional functions listed below are allowed as listed.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program
* Current State of California X-Ray License
* Current CPR Certification
* Basic Computer Skills
* Current and Valid California's Driver's License
* Bilingual/Spanish is a must
