Position SummaryProvides quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Maintain efficient and productive patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information, including taking and processing x-rays. Responsible for patient careProvide necessary dental services to patients of Palms Medical Group within his/her scope of practice in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG.Review the patient's health history, dental chart and oral history.Set up instrument tray, prepare dental materials and assist the dentist during dental procedures.Assist the dentist during dental emergencies.Record dental treatment information into the patient's dental chart.Communicate postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist.Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.Responsible for inventory managementInventory and submit all order requests via appropriate channels.Clean, disinfect and sterilize dental instrumentation. Clean, organize and maintain professional work areas.Responsible for administrative duties Record and review patient medical histories.Assist with audits and surveys.
