Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon their arrival and assist them in navigating the clinic procedures.
- Efficiently manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling requests via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Maintain updated and accurate patient records with attention to confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Handle all front desk operations including but not limited to answering calls, email correspondences, and data entry tasks.
- Provide patients with information regarding policies, procedures, and dental services offered.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients and dental professionals within Esskay Dental.
- Collect, record, and receipt payments from patients for dental services rendered.
- Ensure that the reception area remains tidy and conducive to both staff and patient comfort and efficiency.
- Assist in the management of patient emergencies with professionalism and urgency, coordinating with dental staff as appropriate.
- Periodically check dental supply inventory and place orders for office and administrative supplies.
- Participate in the enhancement of office policies and patient relational procedures.
- Contribute to promotional and outreach activities organized by the clinic to improve patient engagement and community awareness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within healthcare settings.
- High proficiency in Spanish; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of patients.
- Strong understanding of dental office procedures and basic dental terminology.
- Proficient in using office software and technology, including patient management systems, MS Office, and email.
- Exemplary organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and satisfactory service delivery.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of front office management and patient interaction.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and act with discretion.
