Ultimate Staffing is assisting one of our amazing clients with a Direct Hire position for a Receptionist with Billing experience. They are a well-established dental practice in Massapequa, NY, dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Their team is seeking a reliable, organized, and experienced Dental Receptionist with a strong background in billing and accounts payable to join their growing practice.

Job Summary:

The Dental Receptionist with Billing and Accounts Payable experience will be responsible for managing front-office duties, greeting and assisting patients, and handling various administrative tasks. In addition, the role requires proficiency in dental billing, insurance verification, and managing accounts payable for the practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage appointment calendars, and handle cancellations.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the practice.
  • Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Billing & Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Handle patient billing, including processing insurance claims, collecting co-pays, and posting payments.
  • Work with insurance companies to resolve billing issues, verify coverage, and follow up on claims.
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically and manually, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
  • Review and post payments from insurance providers and patients.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments for office expenses and vendor bills.
  • Reconcile patient accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA).
  • Assist with office inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth functioning of the office.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist.
  • Strong knowledge of dental billing, coding, and insurance verification procedures.
  • Experience with accounts payable and managing office expenses.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g Practice works).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a variety of administrative duties.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Experience with dental insurance verification and claim processing.

Salary:

Schedule:

  • Monday -Thursday 7:30am - 5pm
  • Friday -7:30am -12noon
