Knowledge of, or willingness to learn depackaging systems and conveyor lines. Mechanical knowledge is a must. Effective communication skills. The ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, or stand for long periods. In addition, individuals must be able to reach above their shoulders and lift a minimum of 60 pounds. Will be exposed to outdoor hot/humid and dusty/dirty work environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Depackaging Facility Supervisor supervises the workflow of materials through the depackaging system concerning procedure, safety, budget, quality control, and productivity.
  • You will ensure the highest standards of environmental Safety and operational excellence by effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the Depackager and managing the costs efficiently within the operation.
  • In addition, the Depackaging Manager works with external service vendors and internal logistics personnel.
  • Daily reporting and meeting with the Area and Regional Managers.
  • Updates and submits required reports promptly.
  • Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations and ensures adherence to Safe Work Practices to encourage safe and efficient operations.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the equipment through daily cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment
  • 1 year of experience in a supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
