Description

Job Summary: As a department supervisor in the HVAC and HVAC controls industry, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional HVAC controls and mechanical service, repair, and installation services to our commercial clients. You will be responsible for assisting in the professional design, installation, startup and service of commercial and industrial HVAC and HVAC control systems. You will also be responsible for designing, programming, and ensuring correct operation of common HVAC sequences such as economizer control, zone temperature control, discharge air temperature and water temperature control for components such as digital thermostats, controllers, and network controllers. As a leader in the industry and our team, you will be responsible for training and mentoring your co-workers, assisting them in the advancement of their careers and supervising the growth of the safety, talent, sales, profitability, and customer base of a department. All employees are expected to assist in other roles within their abilities from time to time. Responsibilities

* Supervise the growth of the safety, talent, sales, profitability, and customer base of a department.

* Work with a team of HVAC professionals to install and to service systems safely, efficiently, and effectively per job requirements, industry standards and building codes.

* Work with system design teams and industry engineers to develop building systems and sequences to ensure proper building comfort, safety, and efficiency.

* Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working.

* Help ensure excellent job productivity by relaying task hazards, status, and completions accurately and timely.

* Training and providing guidance to other system technicians to advance their knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Possesses a positive safety attitude and high level of personal integrity.

Places a high value on workmanship, customer service and satisfaction.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Must have a high level of understanding of control components and installation practices for items such as thermostats, control sensors, control panels, digital controllers, transformers, relays, etc.

Must have experience in cabling and running conduit.

Must have at least 10 years of experience and knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and control drawings.

Must have at least 10 years of experience in HVAC and/or controls industry

Must have at least 10 years of experience servicing, installing, and performing startup for common HVAC systems, controllers, and sequences.

Must have a high level of understanding of HVAC sequences and operation.

Must have experience in HVAC and controls system design.

Must have a good understanding of networking and internet technology.

Must have a high level of experience in managing and leading in a team environment.

EPA license is required.

Construction experience is required.
