Ready to jump into a new opportunity? ACCESSbank is hiring for a Deposit Operations Assistant Manager.Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day processing of all deposit account activities, including deposits, withdrawals, account maintenance, and reconciliation. Ensure that all transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete Daily Tasks: Perform various daily tasks, as necessary, to ensure all duties are successfully completed. Be able to perform daily tasks during times of staff absence or in response to department need.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a team lead and extension of management for deposit operations staff, providing training, mentorship, and input related to performance to ensure high-quality service delivery. Foster a collaborative and customer-focused environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the deposit operations processes. Recommend and implement solutions to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Stay current on banking regulations and industry best practices related to deposit products and services. Ensure that the bank's operations are in compliance with federal, state, and internal policies, including those set by the FDIC and other regulatory agencies. Assist in the management of internal controls related to FDICIA that are established for Deposit Operations and its staff.
  • Customer Service Support: Act as a liaison between Deposit Operations and other bank departments to address customer concerns or inquiries related to deposit accounts. Provide support in resolving complex issues or discrepancies related to deposits and accounts.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Assist in the preparation of operational reports, including daily transaction volumes, account activity reports, and any discrepancies or issues. Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes. Write, review, and maintain department procedures.
  • Risk Management: Help ensure that operational risks are minimized through appropriate internal controls, procedures, and security protocols. Participate in audits and assist with the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
  • Technology & System Management: Collaborate with IT to properly escalate and resolve system issues. Help manage communications with both employees and customers on global system issues as necessary. Act as system administrator and reporting specialist for various Fiserv systems.
  • Model the ACCESSway in daily work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in deposit operations or a related field within the banking industry.
  • Must have 3+ years of team lead supervisor or managerial experience.
  • Minimum of five years working with Fiserv Premier core and other Fiserv ancillary products.
  • In-depth knowledge of deposit operations, including account maintenance, ACH processing, and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations, including those governing deposit products (e.g., Reg CC, Reg D, BSA/AML).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and banking software/systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results, ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to effectively work with colleagues and on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
