Raytheon Field Engineering is currently seeking a Depot Repair Technician in Portsmouth, RI in support of the AN/BYG-1 Sustainment Program. Duties would include coordinating all activities required to evaluate and test electronic modules used in various submarine weapon launch systems.
This role will be onsite in Portsmouth, RI.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate would have the ability to effectively monitor and coordinated all tasks associated with the evaluation and testing of the weapon interface modules and power converters. Tasks would include troubleshooting and testing all modules and power converters received. The candidate would also be required to interface and track activities within the following internal and external organizations:
* Test Engineering
* QA Engineering
* Manufacturing Engineering
* Shipping / Receiving
Specific duties include generating waiver requests, coordinating system-level testing at Raytheon and Navy facilities and tracking all other activities conducted to deliver the product to the fleet.
Qualifications You Must Have
* Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience. Experience in lieu of education can be considered.
* Security Clearance Requirement: Existing Secret Clearance. A Secret clearance that has been inactive less than 24 months, and can be quickly reactivated, may also be acceptable.
* Experience with Data Management.
* Experience in Logistics.
* Experience with Configuration Management.
* Experience working with Excel Spreadsheets.
* Knowledge of basic electronics, both analog and digital.
* Ability to read and understand schematics (Circuit Diagrams).
* Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
* Must be willing and available to travel on short notice and for extended periods.
* Mandatory physical requirements: Must be able to move and/or lift weights such as test equipment, ladders, tools, and cable reels weighing up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques or material moving equipment.
* Ability to work in confined conditions.
Qualifications We Prefer
* Must be a self-starter with the ability to align priorities appropriately.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience with troubleshooting electronic circuits and repair.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
