SALARY RANGE: $93,622.00 - 149,726.00, ANNUALLY
BACKGROUND CHECK: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.
PROBATION: All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Deputy Chief of Administration for the Fleet Management Division assists with leading a team of approximately 187 and will have direct oversight of administrative strategy and large scale, critical projects. The Deputy Chief will also be responsible for managing the current Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and/or developing new ones for day-to-day decision making across various verticals within the Fleet Management Division. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief of Baltimore City's Department of General Services (DGS) Fleet Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of experience in administrative or professional work, two (2) years of which must have included supervision or project management.
Preferred Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of senior management experience in Fleet management.
