We have an outstanding career for opportunity for a Deputy Chief of Staff to join a leading Company located in theChicago, ILsurrounding area.Job Responsibilities:Assists the Chief of Staff and President in the development of policies, procedures, programs, and other executive functions to maintain operational standards and improve operational processes across Offices Under the President.Oversees budget preparation, expenditure tracking, acquisition of materials and services, and payment processes for the Office of the President.Approve payroll sheets, requisitions, and major purchases to meet the operational needs of the Office of the President, ensuring efficient resource allocation.Assigns confidential or special work projects to departments as authorized by the President or Chief of Staff to fulfill the goals and objectives.Assists the Chief of Staff in planning and implementing operational best practices to achieve desired outcomes.Analyzes confidential reports and managerial studies to present recommendations to the Chief of Staff and President, driving informed decision-making and operational improvement.Supervises staff within the Office of the President as directed by the Chief of Staff. Directs and reviews the activities of the staff; ensures confidentiality is maintained.Basic Hiring Criteria:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree PLUS a minimum of three (3) years of executive administration, legislative or legal experience.Knowledge of offices and applicable business administration practices leveraging insights to make operational and process improvement recommendations.Ability to develop, coordinate, and implement operational changes.Ability to prepare a departmental budget, allocate funds, and manage operations within budgetary constraints.Knowledge of internal control concepts and procedures including the control environment, accounting system, and control procedures to ascertain compliance with laws, ordinances, and regulations.Ability to distinguish between errors, irregularities and illegal acts, and take appropriate action.Good interpersonal relation skills, tact, and diplomacy to effectively address employee issues in a wide range of diverse situations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate operational strategies and facilitate organizational alignment.Effective administrative and supervisory skills to lead operational initiatives and drive performance improvement across teams.Ability to institute problem solving techniques in diverse and sometimes complex situations.Knowledge of political processes in State and County government to navigate operational changes.Ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple operational assignments in an efficient and timely manner .Ability to maintain confidentiality, handling operational matters with employees, elected officials, and public inquiries.Desired Qualifications:Master's or Juris Doctorate Degree.Professional work experience working on behalf of or working with various governmental agencies.VEVRAA Federal Contractor / Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals / Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit
