Deputy Constable

* Serves civil papers as directed.

* Serves criminal warrants as directed.

* May handle court security - Bailiff duties.

* Assists public within scope of authority.

* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

* High School Diploma/GED.

* Basic TCOLE certification.

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil law enforcement preferred; plus 1 year experience in patrol preferred.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to interact effectively with the public.

* Valid Driver License.

* Firearms proficiency.

SALARY RANGE: $32.94 - $41.18 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
