Derivatives Sales Trader Intern: Summer 2025 - Susquehanna International Group : Job Details

Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG) is part of the market-share leader in the listed options market and ETF marketplace globally. Delivering liquidity, derivatives strategy, and fundamental equity research, we partner with our growing client base comprised of mutual funds, hedge funds and pension/endowment funds, by impacting their investment process and helping them perform in the marketplace.

As an Intern in SFG's Derivatives Sales Program, you will be embedded in our derivatives sales trading group where you will be trained to understand the options markets and the decision-making strategies that our traders employ. You will learn how to engage with the client base and how to best execute order flow, and how to deliver market-based insights from our derivatives strategy, market intelligence, and equity research teams. In addition to Susquehanna's industry-leading options education, interns will also have exposure to our ETF and cash desks. You will learn how to cultivate client relationships, understand client needs and to match them with firm resources, and how to create partnerships.

The job offers excellent, in-depth exposure to a Wall Street financial services firm and provides a strong career path in derivatives sales trading. We are looking for students with a passion for investment finance and an interest in the financial markets.

The ten-week summer program serves as our primary hiring source for our full-time Derivatives Sales Development Program.

• Intention to graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree within one year of the internship program
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in financial markets and, specifically, equity derivatives
• Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future

Derivative Sales Trader Interns will receive an annual base compensation of $100,000 prorated for the time worked at Susquehanna. In addition to a signing bonus, Interns will also receive company-paid housing, breakfast and lunch, and other perks.
