The Cleary Company, an award-winning design-build remodeling firm located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced and creative Design Consultant to join our design-build team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in residential design consulting. As a Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through the design process. You will be responsible for understanding their vision, identifying their needs, and translating them into innovative design solutions. Your expertise will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our projects but also ensure functionality and user experience are at the forefront of every design decision. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and objectives. • Conduct thorough research to gain insights into market trends and user preferences. • Create detailed design proposals and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively. • Develop and refine design concepts, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals. • Work closely with the project management and development teams to ensure seamless execution of design plans. • Provide expert advice on design best practices and industry standards. • Stay updated on the latest design tools, technologies, and methodologies. • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. • Foster a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. • At least 3 years of professional experience in design consulting or a similar role. • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and solutions. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. • A passion for design and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
