We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Assistant Design and Product Developer to join our growing team. At ONE OF, we believe in a collaborative, hands-on approach where every team member wears multiple hats. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to translate concepts into fully developed, production-ready styles, ensuring alignment with ONE OF's brand ethos, quality and sustainability standards.
- Assist director of atelier to ensure organization, smooth flow of processes, and accurate, timely completion of projects by supporting team members.
- Take on varied responsibilities as needed, including assisting in fittings, sourcing materials, updating tech packs or cut tickets, and coordinating with manufacturers.
- Support in managing the development lifecycle, from prototype creation to final production, including sample requests, fit comments, and quality checks.
- Source materials and trims, focusing on deadstock and sustainable options, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and exploring new partnerships.
- Support pattern makers and manufacturers in creating prototypes and samples, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to design intent.
- Participate in fittings, provide detailed feedback, and ensure effective communication of adjustments across teams.
- Embrace opportunities to learn and contribute to new processes, including implementing AI-driven technology for body scanning and pattern digitization.
- Keep meticulous records of materials, patterns, and samples to support efficient operations and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience in product development or technical design, preferably in a luxury or sustainable fashion brand.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, or other relevant design and pattern-making software. Zedonk ERP software experience required.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and materials, with experience working with deadstock fabrics a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to pivot between tasks seamlessly.
- A proactive, team-player mindset with a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities.
