Design & Manufacturing Engineer - Edgewater Talent : Job Details

About the Role: The role of Design and Manufacturing Engineer will serve both as the designer of custom solutions for our customers as well as lead the efforts to improve and troubleshoot issues with existing products and processes driving excellence in each step of the manufacturing process.

Developing Product Designs: Create detailed technical drawings and prototypes using CAD software. Maintain accurate records of the design process and present progress reports to stakeholders. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations. Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Design, select, and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools. Plan and optimize factory layouts and production workflows. Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation systems.
• Ability to analyze data and test results to improve designs.
• Problem solver with creative thinking to develop innovative solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software.
