The order engineer uses AutoCAD software and other related software to create installation drawings and prepare an order for the manufacturing process.
This is a critical role at LSI ensuring high quality outputs for our customers, right the first time, every time.
Here's what you'd be doing:
* Prepares orders of play structures and independent equipment for the manufacturing process
* Reviews design work to ensure quality, correctness and pricing
* Reviews submitted orders for complete product information and accurate pricing
* Confers with internal and external customers to clarify or resolve design/order issues
* Understands and uses ASTM, CSA, EN standards in work
* Prepares 2D installation layout drawings using AutoCAD/PlayCAD in layout tabs (paper space)
* Transfers and/or input orders into AX, make BOM modifications and pricing updates as required
* Follow-ups on outstanding orders
* Communicates with rep. organizations to determine design and color required to complete the customer order requirements
* Effectively influence and communicate between internal departments to complete projects
* Maintains a dependable and predictable work attendance and productivity record
* Manage your own workload while working as a team
Here's what we're looking for:
Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or at least 2 years of related experience
* Experience with AutoCAD
* Understanding of manufacturing process
* Become NPSI certified within 18 months
* Experience reading and understanding POs and contracts
* Similar work/business experience (drafting, order management, customer service)
* Proficiency with e-mail along with excellent Excel and Word skills
* Experience reading and understanding POs and contracts
* Detail oriented; comfortable reviewing contracts and detailed sales orders
* Ability to be flexible, and work in a constantly changing and dynamic environment
* Ability to multi-task activities, set priorities, and achieve deadlines is key to successful performance
