Design Technician II - Planet Forward : Job Details

$30-35/hr

The Design Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Develop Microstation drawings used to complete civil construction of natural gas infrastructure projects.
• Develop standard detail drawings in Microstation
• Conduct analysis of external/third party designs using internal tools and ensure each design follows the required specifications.
• Work in collaboration with engineering staff
• Thoroughly understand construction drawing packages, civil site design, foundation design and structural design.

Skills:

• Computer and applications knowledge and experience drafting construction drawings required.
• Clear and precise designs are needed to effectively convey the design requirements to the construction contractors.
• Designs need to be safe, ergonomic, and practical.
• Experience with Bentley products including MicroStation, Open Plant and ProjectWise are preferred.

Education:

• An Bachelor's/Associate's degree in an applicable scientific or technical field. Significant years of relevant design experience may be considered in lue of a technical degree.
