Desktop Support Analyst

100% onsite in Carson, CA

Long term contract

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in desktop support roles, providing technical assistance and support to users in a corporate environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring software and peripherals, and maintaining desktop systems to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems, including hardware and software problems, network connectivity, and printing issues.

- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop software and operating systems.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying software updates, patches, and antivirus definitions.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory.

- Train end-users on the proper use of hardware and software applications.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of desktop support policies and procedures.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in desktop support roles.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues.

- Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.

- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are a plus.

- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
