The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Amsterdam, NY manufacturing plant for a full-time Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team! Shift: First Starting Hourly Wage: $26+ Plant/Work Location: 200 Wallins Corner Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010 What we do: The Gund Company is in the business of engineered material manufacturing. We are the industry leader in manufacturing and fabricating specialized engineered thermoplastic materials that provide a unique performance advantage. (think: Customized non-conductive parts for diverse industries). We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering). Provide computer support for hardware and software by telephone and e-mail to resolve computer system and user issues. What specifically will you be doing?

• Provide computer support for hardware and software in-person, by telephone and e-mail
• Resolve 1st Level Support Calls
• Analyze computer software and system configurations to identify user-reported issues and recommend corrective actions
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate team member following TGC escalation procedures

Requirements What do we need from you?

• 3+ years of experience in computer software and hardware applications, required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related, preferred
• Solid understanding of standard computer system concepts, MS Windows desktop architecture
• Experience and proven skills with Microsoft Office
• Display strong customer service skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work atmosphere
• Professional attitude and goal-oriented work ethic
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
