Job DetailsJob Location Pembroke Pines Police Department - Pembroke, FL COMPANY OVERVIEW Facility Contract Services is a Florida-based contract services company, responsible for the employment and management of personnel for municipal clients. Facility Contract Services is currently seeking dynamic and goal-driven employees for the City of Pembroke Pines Police Department. This exciting opportunity in the City of Pembroke Pines operates 4 days a week (Tuesday through Friday 2:00 P.M. to 12:00 P.M.) and offers excellent compensation and benefits including health insurance and 401(k) with a Company match. SUMMARY Under the general direction of the City's Client Services and Infrastructure Manager, performs day-to-day administrative tasks, including account creation, end-user support, and maintenance of network services infrastructure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Maintains and repairs computer equipment; installs, configures, and maintains microcomputer hardware and software; performs routine and complex diagnostics. 2. Installs hardware peripherals. 3. Provide hardware and basic software support to end users and network groups. 4. Resolve connectivity problems with hardware and networking environment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Installing, testing, and making software available to appropriate users. 2. Ensuring anti-virus software is installed, properly configured, regularly updated, and working properly on all PCs. 3. Install, add, test, troubleshoot, repair, move, change out, maintain, and upgrade PC's, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. 4. Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware failures. 5. Repair and upgrade different types of computers (software and hardware). 6. Liaising with external support agencies to resolve faults speedily. 7. Liaising with the designated personnel responsible for keeping the inventory. 8. Maintaining computer peripheral equipment e.g., printers, scanners, projectors, and whiteboards. 9. Providing technical support by utilizing remote control and Windows administration tools. 10. Effectively communicate all support aspects to all levels of personnel in a support driven customer-oriented manner. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSTraining and Experience: •Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university or two years of field experience with microcomputing hardware and software. A+ certification or an equivalent combination of training and experience. •Experience should include troubleshooting various types of bus architecture (ISA, EISA, VLB, PCIA and MCA) hard drives, video adapters, network adapters, memory, Modems, and power supplies. •Thorough knowledge of common operating systems and industry related software. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 1. Able to fully assemble microcomputer. 2. Knowledge of PC hardware and software systems. 3. Knowledge of common operating systems. 4. Knowledge of current hardware and software trends in the industry. 5. Ability to utilize strong analytical skills and problem-solving methods. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and to write concise and clear reports. 7. Ability to relate technical information to non-technical personnel.
