Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician for an opening in Irving . The Desktop Support Technician will provide technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
+ Respond to queries either in person, via email, or over the phone.
+ Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
+ Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
+ Install computer peripherals for users.
+ Follow up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved.
+ Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
+ Document internal procedures.
+ Assist with onboarding of new users.
+ Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
+ Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
+ Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar role.
+ Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
+ Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network concepts.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a plus.
