Job Description :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for providing desktop support, building and setting up computer workstations, completing workspace changes as well as offering basic computer support and troubleshooting. Additionally, the technician will manage tier 1 requests by monitoring a help desk application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Computer (Endpoint) Lifecycle Management Support:

* Participate in the entire PC Lifecycle process including but not limited to:

* Unboxing new computers.

* Performing asset management processes by updating inventory systems.

* Perform desktop and laptop builds following provided instructions adhering to CIVCO standard processes.

* Assist with the installation and configuration of standard software applications.

* Performing asset sanitation processes that adhere to company policies and subsequently updating asset inventory systems as required.

* Perform physical workstation setups, changes and tear downs in a neat and orderly manner.

* Help Desk Support:

* Provide basic desktop support to all end-users (local and remote), including basic hardware and software troubleshooting.

* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.

* Provide basic hardware support for peripherals such as laser printers, multi-function copier/scanner/printer devices, tablets, mobile devices, etc

* Timely escalation of issues/requests to other members of the team when required.

* Vulnerability Management:

* Monitor available system and application updates for endpoints and applications.

* Provide services to local and remote users to ensure system/application patches are completed in a timely manner using provided tools.

* Company and Departmental expectations:

* Read, understand & adhere to company Standard Operating Practices including those related to the CIVCO Quality Management System, & IT Cyber Security Policies.

* Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of IT services.

* Maintain or create departmental documentation of current processes as required.

* Travel to Kalona facility when required.

Education & Experience

* Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience with workstation support and network administration fundamentals.

Qualifications

* Skills & Abilities:

* Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.

* Strong problem-solving skills paired with attention to detail is a must.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

* Ability to handle interactions positively, maintain confidentiality, and work with a high sense of urgency.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Physical Demands:

* Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit. Must frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
