Join our growing team and apply today!Job Summary: The Detailer is responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications and other contract documents to prepare accurate schedules for doors, frames, and hardware on commercial construction projects.Work hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Review construction documents and understand scope of work, contractual obligations, specifications, and construction schedules. Accurately create hardware sets based on room functions. Enter costs and products into the computer system based on opening. Address significant variances between detailed and estimated costs. Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer catalog cut sheets, and industry specific software. Provide technical assistance to project managers, sales, and purchasing staff. Provide initial RFI's to architects when there are questions/concerns with specifications, drawings or hardware sets. Assist Project Mangers with change orders, ASI, and RFI's. Obtain approved Manufactures quotations. Accomplish any other special projects and duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sit for long periods Long periods of computer usage/ monitor viewing Repetitive use of hands and fingers Ability to listen and talk to customers/ suppliers Regularly lift or move up to 20 + poundsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with the commercial door & hardware industry Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
