Position
Dual-reporting to the Director of Events & Stewardship and the Chief Growth Officer, the Development Coordinator is chiefly responsible for supporting the organization's fundraising and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of gift processing, acknowledgement, and data entry in Little Green Light donor database, including ongoing cleaning of donor database and mailing lists
- Produces all necessary reports, dashboards, and analytics utilizing Little Green Light
- Generates all correspondence lists for event solicitations, e-blasts, appeals, donor stewardship, etc.
- Implements system of integration between Little Green Light and Constant Contact databases
- Administrative and logistical support for all fundraising events, including Golf Outing, Golf Invitational, Growing Together Gala, as well as other smaller events throughout the year
- At the direction of the Director of Events & Stewardship and Chief Growth Officer schedules committee meetings, coordinates meeting agendas, and records meeting minutes
- Works closely with event vendors and committee members
- Liaises with graphic designers to produce all development collateral, including branded special events materials
- Drafts event-related correspondence; follows up on all event-related donor inquiries and requests
- Completes tasks in adherence with event calendar, including ensuring timely payment of all event vendors according to schedule
- Tracks sponsor benefits and executes them across various mediums
- Secures, tracks, and fulfills prizes for auctions and raffles
- Assists with recruitment and training of event volunteers
- Liaises with external event management company and 1-800-Flowers staff, as needed
- Schedules all donor e-communications, including event promotions and appeals
- Stewards individual portfolio of existing donors
- Assists with prospective and existing donor/grant research
- Assists with written appeals and grant applications as needed
- Performs special projects in collaboration with program, marketing, and other team members as needed
- Staffs occasional events (which may take place on nights or weekends) and performs additional tasks as needed to support agency mission
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience in non-profit fundraising and development
- At least 1 years' experience in gift entry and acknowledgements
- Proficiency with Little Green Light or similar database
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Constant Contact or other email marketing software, Canva, and WordPress
- Superior organizational skills, including managing multiple tasks effectively with strict attention to detail
- Excellent written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills; copywriting skills a plus
- Problem-solver who takes initiative, has a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

The expected salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
