This individual is primarily responsible for supporting the advancement of U.S.VETS' mission through regional fundraising focused on event coordination, community engagement, donor stewardship, and administration.FLSA Classification: Non-ExemptResponsibilitiesDevelopment Event Coordination (35%)•Leads logistics coordination, donor, and sponsor solicitation, and execution of site fundraising and community events with a key focus on site annual Signature event and Steps for Vets 5K•Manages execution, secures partnerships, and solicits gifts for 3rd party events such as Make Camo Your Cause to #HONORUSVETS DIY events, Veteran Service projects, Housing Development events, and community events as assigned•Manages outreach, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and community partners, employee resource groups, and other funders in support of events and service projects•Coordinates engagement and activities at sites for national and local funders including community partners, employee groups and professional associations•Establishes and maintains superior customer service relations with sponsors, volunteers, donors and internal staff; responds to inquiries and supports volunteers with event management systems as requested•Partner with Veteran & Volunteer Activities Coordinator to ensure effective execution of community service projects, as well as volunteer activities involving key partners, elected officials and other stakeholdersCommunity Engagement & Donor Stewardship (35%)•Manages an assigned portfolio of accounts with gift targets between $1,000 - $10,000•Manages stewardship of site donors, ensuring they feel valued and engaged with U.S.VETS' mission and impact•Supports the DCM and Executive Director in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship including creating related materials tailored for the donor engagement pipeline•Engages individual supporters by executing direct mail and e-appeal campaigns in partnership with the DCM•Administers the sites employee giving and matching gift programs, ensuring regular employee giving campaigns and matching gifts revenues continue to increase annually•Assists in creating engaging social media content, presentations, newsletters, and other communications to engage the community and amplify site activities•Ensures fundraising activities properly adhere to branding guidelines•Cultivates relationships with community organizations, affinity groups, and businesses to establish an active network of volunteers and community resources to support U.S.VETS•Supports the engagement of veteran-owned businesses, local auxiliary and professional groups, clubs and associations, and other small businesses or member-based entities•Organizes and supports coordination and facilitation of site tours related to fundraising and media activitiesData Management & Administration (30%)•Maintains donor records; ensures organized and up-to-date record keeping in Razor's Edge NXT in partnership with data management team, including meetings, deliverables, and stewardship to express gratitude and share impact•Submits monthly reports, creates partner invoices, monitors payment timelines, and tracks pledge reports•Collaborates with the DCM and Executive Director to project annual site fundraising revenue goals and track progress to goals•Conducts prospect research to identify individuals, corporations, small businesses, and foundations•Partners with DCM to support scheduling, organization, preparation, and materials for donor meetings•Assists in compiling data for grant applications and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance•Participates in Development meetings, check-ins, team meetings, roundtables, and staff meetings as scheduled•Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsRequirements•Minimum of two years' experience in administration, event planning, fundraising, community relations•Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including staff, clients, supporters, and community partners•Strong time management and project management skills, highly organized with acute attention to detail•Self-directed, capable of working independently and taking responsibility for tasks•Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Team player with a positive attitude, flexibility, and creativity is needed•Strong interest in professional growth, and positively contributing to U.S.VETS' mission and advancement goals•Strong Microsoft Office, database, and administration skillsPreferences•Bachelor's degree is preferred•Valid driver's license preferred•Knowledge of veteran issues, local homelessness issues, and local services is a plusNON-DISCRIMINATION POLICYU.S.VETS subscribes to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity.
