A leading utility provider in NY is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Architect with extensive experience in Grid Modernization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of distribution schemes and a proven track record in designing and implementing robust DevOps practices for distributed energy resource (DER) meter collars and related systems.
This is a remote role.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a utility company, with at least 3 years of experience on AMI systems, meter collars, and utility distribution schemes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement DevOps strategies and frameworks for AMI systems, focusing on a new meter collar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the DER meter collar adapter
- Automate deployment processes, monitoring, and maintenance of DER meter collar to ensure compliance, high availability and scalability
- Lead the development of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
