Job Overview:
Trestle seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a solid foundation in AWS services to join our growing team. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud-based applications. You will be instrumental in automating our operations, enhancing our CI/CD processes, and optimizing our AWS environment to support our next-generation identity platform.
In this role, you will:
- Design, configure, and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the setup and scaling of environments.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, implementing improvements to infrastructure and application deployments.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features and systems.
- Lead efforts in automating operations, from infrastructure provisioning to application deployment, to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and policies in the cloud environment, including the management of IAM roles and policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production environments, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Stay abreast of the latest AWS services and technologies, evaluating and adopting them to meet business needs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
- Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Open Search, Redis, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and ECS or EKS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools within the AWS ecosystem.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the entire stack.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Ideally, someone who is located in India, where our engineering team is.
