Job DescriptionDiagnostic Treatment Center (DTC) Nurse White Plains, NY Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm (1 hour lunch) Contract Length: Undetermined, potential for Direct Hire FlexStaff is seeking a Diagnostic Treatment Center Nurse for our client, a non-profit healthcare organization providing home and community-based healthcare and services for the elderly. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the Site Medical Director and IDT on infection control and surveillance activities.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, participants, and providers.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve participant issues and grievances.
  • Provide prescribed or emergency care, including venipuncture, dressing changes, catheterization, suctioning, immunizations, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic tests as authorized by the PCP.
  • Assess, evaluate, and report participant's physical and emotional condition, medication reactions, and critical lab results to the physician.
  • Perform skilled nursing procedures, assessments, and techniques based on individual participant needs.
  • Maintain a safe environment for participants and comply with National Patient Safety standards.
  • Complete required DTC logs and documentation.
  • Document new medications administered in the electronic medical record.
  • Manage DTC inventory, including medications, supplies, and emergency crash cart.
  • Coordinate and prepare mail-order prescriptions.
  • Oversee DTC operations, including equipment and hazard disposal.
Requirements:
  • Active New York State (NYS) RN License
  • Minimum of one (1+) year general clinical experience in a certified home health agency (CHHA), acute care, medical surgical, and/or critical care, Nursing Home experience required. Clinical experience must be within one (1) year from date of hire
  • Minimum of one (1+) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population
  • Degree from an NLN accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
  • Completed NYSED approved infection control coursework.
