Die Repair Specialist - 1st Shift

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies according to original specifications.

  • Use tools such as lift trucks, cranes, and die cleaning equipment to transport and disassemble dies.

  • Polish and grind die cavity surfaces, replace components, and read blueprints to maintain functionality.

  • Perform welding duties in the foundry and Die Repair Department as required.

  • Troubleshoot production tooling issues, performing repairs and maintenance on the go.

  • Ensure proper documentation, including completing work orders, sign-offs, and records.

  • Keep your work environment safe, organized, and ready for production.

  • Train new employees to uphold the department's high standards of performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associates Degree, trade or technical school certificate, or equivalent experience in tool and die repair.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in die repair; up to 2 years of on-the-job training may be considered for candidates meeting other requirements.

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in die cavity polishing, grinding, and welding.

  • Ability to build and replace components from blueprints.

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities in a production environment.
