Diesel Mechanic - WorkerBees Staffing : Job Details

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Rebuild, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on locomotive engines as needed
• Change injectors, blowers, turbos, power assemblies, main generators, engines, cams, bearings, governors, etc.
• Work is mostly performed in shop but can include travel and working outside with mobile equipment

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working in Diesel Engines (Prefer Locomotive Engine Experience)
• Minimum 2 years experience of automotive or diesel experience
• Prefer Vocational training or high school diploma
• Must own required tools
• Must have a valid Florida Drivers License
• Must be able to pass background screening
• Must have a positive attitude and willing to grow in the position
• Regular attendance is a MUST
• Ability to work overtime during the week and weekend is essential
• Overnight travel stays may be required
• Ability to stand, walk, crawl, lay, and sit
• Visual and hand dexterity is necessary
• Must be able to move/lift 50 lbs
• Ability to self supervise
• Perform all mechanical tasks and other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE & PAY

• Monday - Friday
• Some weekends
• OT
• Some travel may be required
• Pay depends on experience, knowledge, and tools owned
• $18-$35 DOE
