Diesel Mechanic - Green Trucking, LLC. : Job Details

Green Trucking, LLC is looking for an experienced heavy duty diesel mechanic capable of engine repair and general maintenance. Perform safety inspection(s), BIT and DOT inspections, services, and repairs on fleet vehicles. Also, performs diagnostic testing using computer programs will include steering, suspension, engine, and transmission repairs. Includes lube, oil and filter changes on all fleet vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Experience with Commercial VOLVO Trucks and DOT vehicle inspections.

· Ability to work independently

· Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, or other breakdown or failure of a motor vehicle or related equipment.

· Repair problems by using the most cost-effective practices.

· Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance and repair operations.

· Maintain and provide a report of all repairs and maintenance actions including parts and labor time on each piece of equipment.

· Perform mechanical work using conventional hand and power to proactively maintain fleet and equipment.

· Run equipment and service truck as needed.

· When applicable, use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete vehicle repairs

· General shop and office upkeep.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of force constantly to move objects

· Ability to climb stairs

· Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds directly over your head while standing

· Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision

· Must be able to manage confined space entry and climb ladders and steps

· Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold

· Have the ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support repetitive or continuous movements

· Have the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time

· The ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects

· Must read and write English
