Reports to Director of Food and Nutrition Services.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Must be able to communicate and function within a team.* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.* Must possess willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.* Must practice dependable, regular attendance.* Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.* Must be knowledgeable of dietary services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary services functions in the long-term care facility.* Must be able to assist in daily cleaning duties. (i.e., sweeping, dishwashing, mopping).* Must be able to serve meals and snacks in a timely manner.* Must be able to properly set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc.* Must be able to deliver food carts and trays and remove them when meal is finished.* Must understand and follow company policies, including harassment and complaint procedures.* Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.SKILLS and ABILITIES* Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)* Experience : No prior experience necessary
