Under the direct guidance of the Director of Nutrition Services and the direct supervision of the Supervisor, The Dietary Aide shall be responsible for performing a variety of duties, which include the assembly/delivery/retrieval of meals, stocking of hospital pantries, completion of temperature logs, washing of pots/dishes and general cleaning duties.Hours: per diem, 3pm-7pm or 4pm-7pm M-F, rotating weekendsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Dietary Aide performs a variety of duties, which vary according to daily assignment:Serving/preparation of hot and cold food for cafeteria and patient serviceSet up of stations before meal service in cafeteria and patient tray lineStocking hospital pantriesPassing/retrieving patient meal traysWashing dishes, posts, pansGeneral cleaning and sanitationWorking cash register during meal service in cafeteriaRotating/restocking areas between meal serviceAccountable for abiding by all departmental, infection control, safety, and all hospital policies and proceduresIt is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.Job Description:DIETARY AIDEAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
