Dietary Aide - Crossroads : Job Details

Job Summary: The Dietary Aide is responsible for picking up prepared meals from the hospital and serving our Adult Day participants. Ensuring that all participants in attendance receive a nutritious meal on time and at the correct temperature. Maintaining accurate documentation of meals and compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Order meals based on the following day's participant schedule • Daily pick up of meals from hospital; return insulated containers to hospital and end of shift• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are low• Prep meals/beverages based on dietary requirements• Ensure that meals are served on time and correct temperature per CACFP requirements• Document all food received and served to participants per required guidelines• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures• Rinse dishes and place in dishwasher• Clean tables, work areas and sanitize kitchen equipment• Follow state, federal, and facility food-handling and infection control regulations• Efficient operation of kitchen duties and cleaning tasks to meet service time schedulesRequirements- Maintain a current drivers license and reliable transportation.- Complete required training within 6 months of hire (HCBS, CACFP Regulations)- High School Diploma or Equivalent- Previous experience in food service setting preferred.-Previous experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities is preferred.- Ability to read, write and make simple calculations- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
