Functions as a Dining Service operator.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSNone specified.CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSFood Handler Certification. Food Handler Certification required within 30 days.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSFood ServicesSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of nutrition and/or modified diets preferred. The ability to both read and understand written instructions, numerical ability, and ability to work with other people. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Answers phones in accordance with customer service standards and directs calls to appropriate person.* Processes the patient/guest food orders in the Dining Service computer.* Completes diet changes coming off the order entry computer.* Collects, posts, and calculates calorie counts. Charts calorie counts on weekends.* Costs-out the food-to-floor orders. Posts the costs into the computer program.* Processes physician lunch orders.* Keeps the nourishment cardex updated.
