Description:

Position Purpose:
The Dietary assistant is responsible a variety of cafeteria food preparation and service duties including working various positions on patient tray line, hot food table, grill and sandwich service, loading and unloading dish machine, pot washing, trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning food service equipment and work areas. Performs a variety of food service area setup and closing procedures and cashiering.
What you will do:
* Performs food service duties to enhance overall care to patients.
* Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family member.
* Ability to perform a variety of food service duties including cashiering, sandwich making, grill work, salad bar prep, cleaning, restocking, etc. Ability to maintain work areas in a safe, sanitary manner by performing several cleaning duties.
* Performs other special assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), preferred. Not required
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service operation.
* Experience in a cafeteria type food services operation preferred.
* Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
