Salary: $16.00-$18.00

Shifts:

Days 8hr shift (with rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, ensuring that food is palatable and appetizing in appearance.

Ensure that dietary procedures are followed, including serving special diet trays as needed.

Work with the facility's dietitian and Food Service Manager to ensure meals meet dietary standards.

Prepare meals that adhere to portion control and standardized recipes, ensuring special diet orders are correctly followed.

Assist in food preparation for special meals or events as needed.

Ensure safety and sanitation regulations are followed at all times.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and dietary needs.

Ability to prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to maintain a calm and warm environment in the kitchen.

Dedication to ensuring meals are nutritious, safe, and enjoyable for all residents.
