Position Overview: The Dietary Supervisor - Nutrition & Dining manages the shift including production, service and retail operations to ensure the highest quality service to our patients, visitors, employees and guests while adhering to all regulatory requirements put forth by local, state and federal agencies. What you'll do:
  • Staff supervision
  • Oversight of meal production and ensuring meal quality, taste, and appearance
  • Retail/cash handling
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including End of Month, End of Year documentation and recordkeeping
  • Catering
  • Vendor management, including responding to equipment and inventory needs
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Verification and entry of diet orders and meal selections
  • Daily use of food service management software
  • Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes
  • Effective communication and demonstration of team-based management.
  • Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education - 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience - Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Licensure - Not required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • RD, CDM, CFPP preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
  • Cooking experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects. A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.
Travel Requirements:
  • 100% Onsite
