Job Description :
Starting pay of $27.04 to $29.87 per hour. Minimum Education

  • Bachelors degree in Dietetics earned from an accredited four year college or
  • State of Wisconsin certification or obtains certification once registered
Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Provides nutritional care information, safe food handling, and other related in-services to facility staff. Contributes, participates, and supports the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) approach to providing quality care for residents. Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance. All other duties as assigned. Activity Requirements Sedentary Work: Continuous sitting at desk, keyboard, etc., for several hours. Occasional lifting of under 10 pounds as required.   • Fully understands all aspects of residents' rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse
  • Protects the personal belongings of each resident, including eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, furnishings, jewelry, clothing, and memorabilia
  • Understands HIPAA regulations and ensures release of information is consistent with NCHC's privacy policies (HF)
  • Understands and follows procedure for occurrence reporting
  • Understands and responds appropriately to emergency codes

  • Uses the dining service guidelines to serve residents
  • When assisting in dining, provides a dignified dining experience for residents
  • Completes hand hygiene per CDC recommended guidelines (HF, HR)
  • Understands role in infection prevention and uses appropriate infection control procedures/measures
  • Demonstrates awareness of and collaborates appropriately with housekeeping and laundry services
  • Provides dementia friendly care through demonstrating an understanding of dementia, North Central Health Care's dementia services and the Legacies by the Lake dementia care philosophy
  • Locates areas of resident activity
  • Promotes a safe, homelike environment for residents
  • Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment
  • Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel

Reviews assessment and recommendations with M.D. as necessary Effectively completes nutritional assessments on all residents/clients, and develops care plans within stated time frame in facility policies and procedures Demonstrates competence in the utilization of time and the quantity of work in the promotion of nutritional care Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of a computer-based system in planning and documenting care Maintains a high level of professional practice, as outlined in the American Dietetic Association Standards of Professional Practice for Dietetic Professional and Code of Ethics for the Profession of Dietetics Core Value Standards of Behavior It is expected that all employees will demonstrate behaviors that support excellence as defined by North Central Health Care's Core Value Standards of Behavior.
